Multi-purpose elegance for men and women

I have been getting a lot of use out of this cartridge lately, I think I am becoming borderline obsessed. This is a standard 7x5 card. the opening is scored at 1 3/4 and glued to he othe 7x5 paper to create the card. I used black and white because of its elegance but any color or image would work. For the left side, I attached a 41/2 x 1 1/2 white scrap strip, then a black strip at 1 1/2 x 4 and adhered my images. I used pg. 78 of Stretch your Imagination, but any will work fine. Flowers would be pretty or ghosts for Halloween. For the other side a 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 square in white, cut 4 2 x2 square and put my image on top. I love the way the card opens. Its fun and unique, but I do love different fold for cards. Have fun creating and if you are using a black card remember o put a sheet of paper in it to write on or use a silver sharpie.

Wedding Cards

My dad is getting married this weekend and I wanted to make him and his new bride a fun, personalized wedding cad. Their colors are navy so I added accents of navy to the card. I just had fun with this one. (and I really hope they don't look at the blog until after the weekend, if so, please act surprised) The images are cut from Strech Your Imagination. I used the card from pg. 73 and went to town with all of the other wedding designs from this cartridge. For the letters I used the Jubilee cartridge. I added some decorative paper, frames and dimensionals to create a one of a kind wedding card.

Mojo Spring Card

Hi! Here is this weeks Mojo Card. I started with one frame from Live Simply and just went crazy. It is all from Live Simply with the colors from the first frame. Below is this weeks sketch.

Wow it has been a very busy week. I coached my first soccer game today and went canopy tree climbing. Yay. But here are two cards I made this week. The sentiments are interchangeable. You can do what ever you like. The cups are made from transparent paper, cut at angles. You can follow the line of a plastic cup if you like., then fold over and adhere with red sticky tape making sure there is an upward curve. The ice cubes are made with blue scraps with dimensionals and I cut the straw to fit and adhered it with glue dots. I love doing these for Cinco de Mayo and making margaritas. Colorful paper and lime will top them off exceptionally or they can add umph for a spring party. Well it s time for bed after such a busy day. As promised, I am going to make something extraordinary with my new cartridge tomorrow.

Picture for Zoe

My Granddaughter Zoe asked me to do a picture for her. She wanted ice cream and cake in the picture. I used the Cricut Imagine Yummy cartridge for everything except the stamped Z,O,E. I hope you like it Zoe!!

packages in the mail

I just wanted to share that I love E Bay. I get so many of my Cricut cartridges from there, and for dirt cheap. Today, the mail came and I got the Indie Art cartridge so check the blog tomorrow for a rockin card.

Spring is in the air..... for some of us

Card number two for Mojo Mondays 181. This card, also turned the wrong way, was inspired by spring. Lately, not today, it as been in the mid 60's to 70's in Georgia. So what better way to welcome spring than to begin making colorful, floral cards.

Peace

So this is the first of my Mojo Monday 181 cards. I tilted the card down as to give it a different look. I was feeling a little spunky so I went for Rock Princess. In the post below is the guideline we were supposed to use for the layout. Hopefully the judges think outside the box for this one. E mail me if you want exact measurements. Hope your Wednesday is great.

Mojo Dragon Card

I did this card for the Mojo Monday 181 - Contest. It was really really fun to do a card from a sketch. Never done that before - below is the sketch we had to use. I made this card with the Cricut Imagine JT cartridge. The card itself is 6 1/4" x 4 1/2". The circle in the center is on pg 21 cut at 4", dragon pg 5 cut at 1.3". All the background papers are also from the JT cartridge. The word (friend) in the center is from the Cricut Pagoda cartridge; I put the cartridge in the Imagine with the JT cartridge and use one of the JT patterns to fill it.

Cruisin'

My wonderful daughter-in-law Stephanie bought me the Cricut Nifty Fifties Cartridge! This is my first card from that cart. The Car is from page 24 cut at 1 3/4", the Gas Pump on page 52 cut at 4", Route 66 on page 38 cut at 2" and the word cruisin' on page 46 cut at 1 1/4". The card itself is 6 1/2" x 4 1/4". I use a few dimensionals on this and tried to do a picture show that this time.

Tropical Party Decorations

I had a few tropical parties lately for my friends and I thought I would share some of the decorations I did with the Cricut. Most cuts are from Life is a Beach except the vines on Party and Tiki Bar from ZooBalloo, the Palm Trees from SYI and a couple flowers from Pagoda. The charms I hung from the ceiling.

Mark your page

My mom showed me a magnetic bookmark she go at a craft fair, so I thought I would put my own spin on a bookmark. You can use any image out of any cartridge and any size paper to create a special book mark for someone. I used the Wrap it up cartridge and my cuttle bug to create these bookmarks. On the inside, I put a magnetic strip so you are sure to never loose your place. Now I know we are not as fancy as some of the other sites but the first person to comment on the post will receive a beautiful bookmark, so you will never loose your place again.

Owl Hello Card

Hi, I made another Cricut Imagine Better Together card. The background is from Better Together cut at 6 inches using the square template that came on the imagine. I had to cut off a little on the side which I used on the inside of the card. The owl is cut at 3.5 rs layers, I also cut a yellow one out at 3.7. The smaller inside owl is cut at 2.0 rs layers. The hello is from Imagine More cards cut at 1.2 and the inside hello at .5. I use dimensionals on almost all of my cards and here too, which give it a 3-D look. That doesn't come off on the pictures though!

Chillaxin' Card

Hi, This is a great card for a teenager. It is a Cricut Imagine JT card. The background, words, guitar and flames are all from this cartridge. I really love my Imagine and enjoy making imagine cards so much.
