I made this picture with printed paper I got in a mixed media kit from Scarlet Lime. The pack is a 6"x 6" called "Darling Dear". I made the hearts with a stencil and modeling clay. Potting Table

A potting table all hand sketched and made with watercolors. I know it's not perfect and that's the great thing about mixed media art..it really shouldn't be perfect. I love it. Even though some might not see cows, it is cows! lol...not much of the cow just his nose(are they called noses on the cow??). I still love this picture...maybe its the colors that I like! Pictures with the Grandkids 2

Okay, so here is the rest of the pictures we did last week. Zoe and I did flowers with vases. Zoe did the yellow background picture. I did the one with the black and white around the edges. Alex did a "She Art" picture. They both did a awesome job!! I am taking an online "She Art" workshop with Christy Tomlinson, so you will be seeing some of that from me in the future.

Pictures with the Grandkids 1

Last week I went to visit a couple of my grandkids. Of course I did mixed media art with them!! lol They LOVED it!!! It was so fun. In these pictures we just got the flower and made up the rest of the picture! Mine has the orange flower with the yellow center. Alexandra did the yellow flower with the orange center and Zoe did the blue flower. They will visit me this summer so there will be more pictures!!

Art of Spring - Bunnies

I am taking an online mixed media workshop. "The Art of Spring" with Junelle Jacobsen. You can find this workshop at http://www.scarletlime.com/workshops.html I am having so much fun with this workshop. I LOVE IT. It is so informative while being so fun and easygoing. This is my first (well I am slowly doing Christy Tomlinson's "She Art 3" workshop, but that is slow going(coz I am so new at it and there lots of wonderful information and basics) and I don't have a finished project yet. I thought I would take a break from that and at least get this workshop started before Easter was over. I knew as soon as I started it, that I would do nothing else until this workshop was done. It is that much fun!! Hope you enjoy my first project. Love these bunnies!!

Hawaii 2013

Recently I went on a vacation to Hawaii with my husband, my best friend and her husband. I made this cute album for my friend. I used a mixture of stickers and Cricut cuts from "Life is a Beach".

Life is Good Birthday Card

Life is Good!!! Birthday Pinwheel Card. No special equipment for this card. Simple instructions - 1. Cut the following: 1- 4"x 4" card stock 2- 3"x 3" card stock or paper 8- 1 3/8"x 1 3/8" card stock Plain color 4 - 1 1/4"x 1 1/4" card stock or paper of one design 4 - 1 1/4"x 1 1/4" card stock or paper of another coordinating design 2. Glue the 1 1/4 pieces on to the 1 1/3 pieces. 3. Glue one of the 3x3 on top of the other 3x3 so the bottom is like a square and the top like a diamond. 4. Now start gluing the small pieces onto the 3x3 pieces in a pinwheel pattern being sure not the glue the edges that need to be tucked into. 5. Now glue the 3x3 pieces onto the 4x4 piece then glue onto an A2 card. An A2 card is 5 1/2" x 4 1/4".

Embossed Metal Swing-Style Card

Here is a card from my Cardmaker-kit-of-the-month for January. It is an embossed craft metal swing-style card. It is such a wonderful kit-of-the-month, you always learn something new. Camping Album

This is a Camping Album I made for my camping friend Jean. This is made with invitation size envelopes. This is has the envelopes and tabs in the middle. I made the tabs with ribbons which you can pull out and either journal on or add pictures. I used the Cricut cartridge "Campin' Critters".
